Our u18`s came back from a 0-1 deficit to equalise midway through the second half and to take the game to extra time.

AYR UTD U18s v DAFC U18s

Our U18s drew 1-1 with Ayr United. The game took place at the home of Cumnock Juniors which has proven over the years to be a difficult venue for visiting teams to come away from with any points.

A Taylor Sutherland goal in the first half gave DAFC U18s the lead at half time. Ayr equalised early in the second half from a set piece. That was the end of the scoring and meant our U18s went home with 1 point secured.

Over the last month the squad has had away fixtures v Dundee, Livingston, Newtongrange Star and Ayr. 3 wins and a draw with only 1 goal conceded has to be looked upon as being a good month for the Academy.

Clean sheet earns U18s another 3 points

Livingston ...0
Dunfermline Athletic ....1

A headed goal by Andrew Tod from a corner was enough to see off Livingston in tonight`s U18 game at the Tony Macaroni Stadium.

The margin of victory could have and should have been much greater as the young Pars failed to covert some excellent chances throughout the game.

In the last 15 minutes Livingston made a spirited attempt at taking something from the game but Dunfermline held on to take all 3 points and for the second game in succession did not allow their opponents a goal.

Most pleasing tonight was the appearance of two 2007 squad players in the game. Centre back Conley Adamson played the full 90 minutes alongside Sam Young and midfielder Freddie Rowe came on in the second half. Both gave a good account of themselves.

Next week the U18s are away to Queens Park in Glasgow.
